I would like to say thanks to Alanis Ferreiras, a phlebotomist in your laboratory. My husband and I received our COVID test results from White Plains Hospital on the day we were scheduled to travel abroad. We confirmed that the tests had PCR dates and negative results. What we didn't know was that the time the samples were collected was missing. When we got to the airport, the airline staff told us that we would not be able to fly without the time on the report. I made several calls to the White Plains Hospital, starting at 5:15 pm when most departments are closed. I pleaded to the operator to try and connect me to someone who could help me. I wish I had taken the operator's name because she transferred me to Alanis, and I felt like I was connected to a Godsent fairy. Alanis not only patiently listened to my issue, but she went out of her way to make the phone calls to make sure our reports got update and the collection time was added.

I was on the phone about 45 minutes, but it was all worth it. Alanis went out of her way to help us and we were able to catch our flight. She is a great asset to the White Plains Hospital. Every hospital needs more employees like her.
