 The Carl Weber, M.D. Wound Care Center at White Plains Hospital offers exceptional, individualized patient care for all wounds, including traumatic injuries, burns, venous stasis ulcers, arterial insufficiency wounds, diabetic wounds, skin and soft tissue infections, and postoperative wounds. Dr. Weber was former President of the Medical Staff and Director of Surgery, highly respected and beloved by patients and staff alike for his comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care. A champion of the Center for decades, his impact and commitment is reflected in a quality, interdisciplinary team approach, along with the state-of-the-art technology in use today.

Multi-specialty, well-rounded care is delivered with the contributions of expert general surgeons, vascular surgeons, infectious disease physicians, plastic surgeons, and podiatrists. The valuable integration of our physicians plus nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and specialized wound care technicians provides a team approach to optimal wound healing and superb patient care. The team at our Wound Care Center possesses special knowledge of medications, dressings and vacuum assisted devices that are instrumental to the treatment of chronic and acute wounds. We also offer some of the most cutting-edge healing modalities that are only offered at a handful of advanced Wound Care Centers in the region.

The Wound Care Center functions as a regional referral center for the most complicated and treatment-resistant wounds. Valuable in-house access to ancillary services including Radiology, Vascular Surgery, Cardiology and Laboratory Medicine is easily coordinated by the wound care center staff for optimal care and convenience for the patient.

Soon to be located on the 9th floor of the Center for Advanced Medicine & Surgery, our advanced Limb Preservation Program will utilize state-of-the-art equipment, including two hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers, to provide the highest level of care in a comfortable treatment area. The White Plains Hospital Limb Preservation Program offers hope to those facing the potential loss of limbs due to chronic disease, wounds and injury. Led by the latest science and evidence-based approaches, a multidisciplinary team of physicians and trained clinical staff collaborate on comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, testing, and treatment, with the goal of preserving the limb and helping our patients maintain their quality of life.

As one of the most robust limb preservation programs in the region, our experts use both surgical and non-surgical treatments, including emerging topical and biologic wound healing therapies. For advanced wound care, two hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers provide intensive, state-of-the-art healing.
