Imerman Angels mentor program

Imerman Angels—Your one-on-one cancer support communityNeed to talk to someone who understands your diagnosis? Want to pay it forward once your treatment is finished?

White Plains Hospital is partnering with Imerman Angels to provide emotional support for patients and family members, because no one should have to face cancer alone and without peer support.

Imerman Angels is an international program matching people affected by cancer. This program provides personalized connections that enable one-on-one support among cancer fighters, survivors, previvors and caregivers.

Imerman Angels partners anyone—any age, any gender, any location and any cancer type—seeking support from someone in a similar position as themselves. This provides both patients and family members the chance to navigate the system, determine options, connect and receive support from someone who has been there before. This service is free and helps anyone touched by cancer.

We encourage every cancer patient, survivor, previvor and caregiver to consider being mentored or becoming a mentor. While each experience as a patient or caregiver is unique, our matching process will allow people to connect with someone of similar age, gender, mutation and/or cancer type. Cancer produces a wide range of feelings, not only for the person facing cancer but also for the caregiver.
