Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, White Plains Hospital's laboratory processed more than 3.9 million tests in 2015, making it one of the busiest medical labs in Westchester County. The lab, accredited by the College of American Pathologists, serves hospitalized patients, doctors’ offices and local nursing homes.
The laboratory was the first in Westchester County to have full automation, beginning in 2003. With the automated ADVIA Workcell robotic chemistry lab system manufactured by Bayer Diagnostics (Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics), test results can be provided in a matter of hours rather than days.
