Breastfeeding information for expectant mothers

White Plains Hospital aims to ensure that all new mothers have the resources to achieve their breastfeeding goals. As part of our commitment, we have provide in-person education sessions available:

The breastfeeding class follows International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) recommendations and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines. It is taught by our own Lactation Consultants and Registered Nurses who review why breastfeeding is important and how to get the best start. Through step-by-step instructions, moms learn how to achieve an effective latch, breastfeeding holds and positions, and how to maintain healthy milk production.
