Joint Preservation Program

Most people experience joint pain at some point in their lives. White Plains Hospital’s Joint Preservation Program features an interdisciplinary team of specialists committed to providing every patient with an individualized treatment plan to relieve pain and restore mobility. Our board-certified, fellowship-trained experts have years of experience addressing a range of orthopedic conditions, from the common to the complex.

Conditions we treat:

  • Arthritis
  • Bursitis
  • Inherited joint abnormalities
  • Labrum tears
  • Meniscus tears
  • Osteonecrosis
  • Tendonitis or tendon degeneration
  • Traumatic injuries
  • Muscle strain

Depending on the severity of their condition, a significant number of patients, and younger patients in particular, can find relief through non-surgical and minimally invasive therapies, from weight loss to muscle strengthening and physical therapy to reduce joint stress and improve function.

Treatments we offer:

  • Customized physical therapy programs
  • Hyaluronic acid injections
  • Corticosteroid injections
  • Platelet-rich plasma
  • Cartilage transplant
  • Partial joint replacement

For patients with long-term damage who have exhausted other treatment methods, joint replacement may be appropriate. With advanced technology and precision techniques, hip, knee and shoulder replacement procedures are a safe, efficient and effective option for reducing pain relief and increasing function.

Committed to successful outcomes

Our interdisciplinary approach includes pre-operative teaching to make your surgery as safe as possible. In addition, we participate in the ERAS program (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) which facilitates your recovery after the surgery to help ensure a successful outcome.
